I'm trying to fix the messed up colour on my HP C5180 printer (specifically affecting photos).

According to the manufacturer (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfr...c=en&product=1153481#), there should be a 'Calibrate Color' option in the 'Device Toolbox'. That option is missing. I am using Win2k8

I tried their support but he was an idiot and were telling me remove my cartridges and clean their contacts as well as to clean the printheads.

Can anyone else help by telling me how to get my colours correct?

Try---------http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/ Who have a forum subsections that deal with color calibration software

It will work for all printers and even for non OEM inks.

Its not something I am that interested in, but that is a photoprinting forum and some people get downright fussy and obsessive about getting things exactly right by formulating their own custom printing profiles.
If I am not mistaken, you may have to color calibrate your computer monitor first .
