The second link is not a mini DIN of any kind, it's a standard USB A-B cable. And it is the better choice, because no conversion between interfaces is needed.

Also you don't want to be paying any $35. for no steenking printer cable. I can send you one for $5.00 shipped. Unless you have a really good reason, you want to use USB all the way to connect your printers. Speed isn't an issue as either is faster than most printers. You didn't mention what printer we're talking about either. That always helps.
