Printer and I phone loosing connection

AT&T DSL service. I recently changed from 2 Wire gateway to Netgear gateway. Seamless transition except for Brother laser printer and an I Phone.

Both will connect to WIFI but after a random period of time (usually about 12 hours on printer and 3 hours on phone) will loose connectivity. If they are powered down and re-powered up they reconnect, and the cycle starts again. I have set static IP addresses on both.

Other computers, phones, tablets work fine on the network. Any suggestions appreciated.
