A Movie Watcher Card is basically a frequent user card. You accumulate points and earn free stuff. The cool part is that they never reset the points. I.e. you never have to turn in your points to redeem the free stuff. The day you earn point 20, you get something like free popcorn, the next ticket you buy earns you point 21. After 19 more points (total of 40 points) you earn a free movie ticket.

At like 100 points you get a free night at the movies I think, 2 tickets, popcorn and soda.

Best of all it is free to join... Its basically a bribe to go to their theaters.

Combine this with the student discount and its a reasonably priced movie experience.

Actually the way it works is this:

You get 2 points for each movie ticket you purchase. Maximum points per transaction is 4.

Points are automatically calculated for you so when you hit the 10point mark, you'll receive a coupon for a free popcorn when you buy your tickets. When you hit the 20point mark, you'll receive a coupon for free drink. At the 30point mark, you'll get a free movie ticket. Then it rotates again with free popcorn at 40, soda at 50... til on your 100point mark you get free popcorn, soda AND movie ticket. After that you start over again on the rotations.

I joined a couple years ago and think it's great. Plus, if you're a movewatcher cardholder you can order tickets online without extra charges and on Wednesdays cardholders get free popcorn.
