Printable DVDs?

Howdy,

I normally use normal DVDs that you can buy at any store and write on them with the ever popular Sharpie marker. I've used some DVD labels before but have heard from a lot of people that this can make the disc overheat, not spin evenly, etc which can all lead to playback issues.

I've never used the DVDs that you can print directly onto and am wondering if many people here do... And if so, do they work well?

I normally buy the Fuji DVDs and noticed that Sams has the printable kind for $20 for 50 so thought I might try them out since we have a DVD printer at work. But I don't want to waste the $20 if they end up not working as well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

i've used printables and have not seen any issues. i think they were generic branded too...

waiting for nik to come in with a google link..... 🙂

I use these and never have a problem... The silver once printed on looks very professional... but i variate the silver ones with the whites... the whites sometimes look better on certain stuff but silver looks really slick...

keep in mind the retail ones at stoers are not hub printable.. what this means is the small ring in the center is clear and will say "Brand Speed Printables" so looks very amatureish... hub printables allow u to put more grafix on the cover... beleive me that small circle makes a big difference...

btw what printer are u using?
