This is on a friends computer, running Windows XP Pro with SP3 and all the current patches. He's at his brothers house trying to print from a program on his using his brothers computer. I set up Logmein Pro and an LMI printer port. It worked for months, than suddenly last month he started getting print spooler errors and it would no longer print. I looked at the error message and it was the LMI*.dll which is logmein's virtual port. Here's what I did to try and fix it
I stopped the spooler service and deleted everything in \windows\system32\spool\printers. Than rebooted, re started the spooler service, it printed about 2 times before it messed up again. So I removed the printer and did the steps above again, rebooted and re-added the printer. Same thing after a few prints. I thought it was a LogMeIn issue, so I installed Hamachi and the same thing, and I added the printer as a network printer that time so it wasn't using the LMI port. There's nothing on this PC except for Office. I've gone thru this process about 6 times and every time it prints a couple of times and BOOM the print spooler stops.
Outside of wiping XP and reinstalling I'm out of ideas, any suggestions?
*EDIT* it looks like even with Himachi it's using the LMI printer dll ugh. I don't think LMI's the problem though.
