Hello. I recently set up a wireless network, which works fine with my main computer, running Vista x64 RC1, and my wife's laptop, which is running XP. The internet connection works fine, but I'm sharing the printer through the main machine. When installing the printer off the bat, it works just fine printing from the laptop, however, when the laptop gets shut down, or hibernates, the printer goes offline, with no way to turn it back on. I think it's because Vista requires print sharing to be password protected. It's REALLY annoying, and it doesn't come up with a password prompt when you try to print, it just goes offline. THe only way I've found to reestablish the printer is to uninstall and reinstall it.
How can I disable the print sharing password (the network is secured, so I'm not too worried about others printing on it), or get it so that when my wife connects to our wireless network, the connection to the printer goes online?
Thanks.
