What exactly are you looking for? Are you talking like a JetDirect box or dedicated print server appliance? How are you going to be using it? You can use a PC as a print server if you have a small network.

i have 3 printes and 3-4 computers. i don't want a dedicated machine to run the printers. i was thinking about a dedicated appliance.

I used an HP USB print server recently. (USB print servers are fairly rare BTW, or were). It did the job after a somewhat testy install. I stopped using it and resold it however, as it did not allow for the printer's ink level indicators to work.

I went back to just sharing my printers over my network.

i acquired a hp printer server (JetDirect EX 3 Plus) and it working excellent!! thanks for the help...
