How do you print multiple pictures on one page in Windows 10? The photos app in Windoes 10 only lets me print one picture per page. I have read that you can select all the pictures you want to print in the file explore and select print and it will open a dialog box to choose the picture sizes, etc. But, that just sends them to the printer at full size for me.

If windows doesn't support this function anymore and it doesn't appear to, does any one have any recommendations of free software that will allow me to select multiple images and print out 3x5, 4x6, etc. I don't really want to past the images in a word processor program and size and arrange the images manually.

Why not use the software that came with your printer? Don't all color (inkjet) printers come with photo software?

My laser printer didn't come photo software. I just came with Presto! Page Maker. I think anyway. And, yes I know laser is not the best for pictures, but this is just for kids school projects.

Looks like you have to download Windows Essentials 2012 and install photo gallery. Still seems strange MS didn't just included it. I still have not tried this yet though.

In your desktop Windows 10 now includes an option to print to a PDF file in File Explorer. You can simply select a bunch of image files and print them to a PDF file directly within File Explorer. If you’re using Windows 10, start with the first section below.

When I right click a photo and select "Print" it just prints. There is no "Print Pictures" window or any other window for that matter that opens up.

P.S.
Just noticed the last two replies seem to just be spam.

Always been free Picasa prints up to 9 wallet size pics of your choice per 8 1/2 X 11 sheet. Other choices from full size down to wallet. Google no longer updates it but you can get it at: http://www.oldversion.com/windows/picasa/ Select the newest version. 14 MB or so.
It finds pics and videos from where you direct (tools/ folder manager) and sorts pics by folders if you use view/ folderview/ flat folder view and sort by name. It also has basic picture tuning such as cropping, brightening, rotating, and adding text and saves the original too. I go to tools/ options/ tags right away and deselect face detection to save the time it takes to find all pics of each face.
If you don't like it, print your stuff and remove it.

Why did Google stop updates for Picasa? Sounds pretty good from your description.

It seems they like those cloud type things. I prefer my own stand alone programs when possible. I think it's great. It does 90% of what I need easily. The hardest thing for me was to get it to show my pics in "folder order" back when I first got it. They defaulted to a picture date sorting. Everything else seemed intuitive.
My son's wife is a blonde model and she loves it too.
In short, give it a try. After all the price is right.

Edit: It leaves the originals in their original spot and condition.

What is the file type? Windows may not recognize the photos as pictures. I just tested a Windows 10 upgraded from 7 and a fresh 10 install, and both pull up the Print Pictures window when selecting the Print option from the right-click menu.

They are jpegs. right-click print just sends them straight to the printer for me. No clue why.

I wonder if it's the way Windows is interpreting your printer's abilities. Is the printer you are using set as default? Have you tried installing a driver from the manufacturer? What model is it?

It is the default printer. The model is RICOH SP C250SF. It is using their PCL 6 drivers. It is connect through the network, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Could be. I know the printer I mentioned is a wifi printer, but it is a pretty plain HP inkjet AIO. You may want to install the PCL 5c driver, which is available on Ricoh's website. Windows will probably let you install for both., but I don't know if it will bring your option back.

Just to be damn sure we're all doing the same thing, I took a few photos of the process that works for me.
1. Folder with photos.

2. Select four images

3. Right-Click->Print --- make sure this is your "Print' and that you don't have another "Print" option that your printer driver introduced.

4. Ensuring I select the layout that sizes them to all fit

That is a good point, the possibility of an added right-click option.

I never knew you could do that right from Explorer. I'm on Win7 so the Explorer format looks a little different, but the right click and print is as displayed by Curious Mike. It's very similar to the way Picasa prints. The only thing I have had to watch out for is to select letter size paper for the multiple prints per page.
Thanks Mike.

That is what I am doing. But, it just goes straight to the printer. I just tried it again. It also tries to fit it to the page size. So a 100px x 100px fills the page just as a 10MP would.

Could the printer drivers have replaced the default right click print option?

That's a possibility - you might try setting your default printer to anything else (write to pdf?) and see what you get.

I tried setting it to the Microsoft Print to PDF. When I right click and select print it pops up the save as pdf dialog box, so I can name it. It doesn't pop up the print pictures dialog box.
