Print History

I am wondering if windows keeps a histroy of documents that have been printed on my computer. I have been going through a ton of ink and I would like to track my printers usage if possible.
Is there such a thing? And if so, where do I look? I am using XP Pro.
Thanks in advance!

No such thing unless the printer itself has a utility to count pages. Even then you can't accurately determine how much ink your using because page yield of a cartridge is based on a standard page coverage. Don't know what the ink cartridge industry uses as I'm not an expert in that particular area, but the laser cartridge industry base their standardized test on 5% page coverage. You may print some pages covering 20%, some with 50%, some with 10% and it would vary with end users so that page yield will differ with each cartridge. If you use that much ink, I would suggest you get a laser printer. Pick one up from $150 to $250 dollars. Your price per page will decrease tremendously.
