Can someone explain to me what the different is between these two standards?
I have always used PCL 6 by default, I assumed it was the new standard, therefore would be the most efficient and printing and best at resolution. But it has come to my attention that on occasion, using PCL 5e has fixed some formatting issues in various programs, including Word.
Sometimes, a certain printer model only has a 5e driver available, which I am forced to use.
So what's the deal with these two?
