Could not find a decent link to a online store for DVD media.

I have bought from this place before and they shipped pretty fast and did not overinflate there shipping.

I bought the 10 pack Princo DVD-R(white face) and the cheaper DVD-R silver face last week just to see if the media will work with my standalone DVD players
and they all turned out fine.

So today I ordered the 100 piece Princo for $93+$9.82 shipping=$102.82

heres a link

http://www.yesbuy.net/

sorry the http button appears to be broken at this time

let me know if you guys have found a better palce to buy your DVD media, preferebly with free shipping.

Peace

thanks for links

duhh--that site does not offer free shipping on all their media, I guess they run specials and offer free shipping (they where actually 1 dollar more after shipping)

I guess most of these sites have the same price.
Maybe I should not have ordered 100 pcs since the prices are dropping pretty fast.

with regards to Princo having a bad reputation, I guess to each his own if it plays in your set of DVD's there should be no problem.
These Princos by the way was able to play in my DVD player in my HONDA Oddessy. That player was picky it did not even want to play any CDR's for music, it would just play store bought DVD's and store bought music cd's. Now I can transfer my kids VHS collection to DVD to play in the CAR.

I've had nothing but success with Princo 1X media. I hacked the firmware on my Pioneer DVR-105 so I can burn them at 2X every time. Me and two of my coworkers always go into together and buy a bulk pack and they've had good luck with them too.

I really don't understand why so many people slam the Princo's. They burn great and they have the nice white top instead of the plain disc surface.

Armoth - I am with you on the white surface, I hate blank media (CD or DVD) that is simply silver on top.
I label mine with a black fine point sharpie and it sucks on silver tops.

Anyone with a Sony or Optorite drive should bear in mind that the Princo 4X DVD-R discs will only burn at 2x in your drive.

Why is that? The Optorite site shows that the drive is rated at 4X for DVD-R.

Princo media is great.I've burnt tons of there 4x disc & only had 1 bad one.I like them better then riteks for some reason.I know the riteks might last longer but i lost more ritek disc in a 100pk then i did with like 500 + princos.

Anyway the deal at allmediaoutlet is pretty good & cheapest i've seen.I'm about to order some from there now matter of fact lol.

are there any reports or reviews regarding the longevity of these media?

i remember some old cheapie CD-R's that burned great and never gave me a coaster. After a year, they started to read "funny" in my PC :(

Gee, I just burned 10 princo 4x discs in my Sony and they came out great. Since they were done in 15 minutes each, I am pretty certain that they burned at 4X. ;):)

I know a local princo dealer, so that's pretty much all I use. They work very well in my Sony and my Cendyne (pioneer 105).

if you have the OPTORITE burner these princos only burn at 2x for some reason even though they are rated at 4x

I am not sure if the firmware update resolves this problem since I have not upgraded my firmware.

what firmware do you have? my 500ax starts up at 4 x (and says 15 minutes to burn) but after a few seconds, changes to 29 minutes remaining using Recordnow DX.

Bought 1x white glossy top princo's a while back from supermediastore that worked completely fine - all 50 of them. I have the new Sony 510a dual burner

Looks like yesbuy has 50-pack for ~$1.19/each, after s/h which ain't too bad.

Someone needs to start a media thread...
