Principal Suspended After Giving Wedgie
AP
LIVINGSTON, Mont. (Oct. 25) - A high school principal received a six-day suspension and a letter of reprimand for giving one of his students a wedgie.

Eric Messerli pulled a Park High School senior's soccer jersey over his head and yanked upward on the waistband of the boy's underwear at a soccer game Oct. 5. Other school officials said he was joking around with the student and did it playfully.

He was suspended for two days without pay and four days with pay before the school board decided Monday to let him return. He tearfully told the board: "I've made mistakes in my life, but none have had the impact that this one has had."

Messerli, who was back on the job Tuesday, will be required to talk with students and staff members about the incident to restore respect and authority.

He said his first reaction was to resign, but he decided to "tackle this mess" head on.

"I want to live in a world where we don't have to hide when we screw up," he said.

What kind of a world do we live in where a man can not give a player a wedgie? It's a well-known fact that Notre Dame's Four Horseman regularly received wedgies from Knute Rockne himself for motivation!

Google or ban.

he is a newb. you will have to hold his hand.

How about I hold his head... under water?

works for me. but why pollute the water with his kind?

He'll only be there 'till the bubbles stop.

I can't say I'd be happy after getting a wedgie from my Principal, however I have a feeling it was the parents that raise the big stink.

good, a 6 day suspension is the right punishment. adults in a position of power should never assault a kid.

Did the kid complain about it? Doesn't seem like anything too weird. High School Athletes/Coaches have a weird sense of humor. Maybe the Principal was just trying to speak the team's language.

uh if so he went about it the wrong way. he is the principal and not the a kid on the team. while you can joke around you can not do something like this.

i am actually suprised there is no lawsuit for sexual assualt or such.

Eh, depends on whether it was an atomic wedgie or just a normal wedgie. ;)

I don't see the problem unless the kid complained.

Haha... the wedgification of America :D

In the grand scheme of things this doesn't sound like a big deal to me.

No

but that has nothing to do with it. a principal should not be touching students in that way period. it crosses the line of inapproipate behavior and is very unprofessional.

but it still corrupts the poor water that didn't do anything to deserve it.

What kind of world do we live in when a grown man can't give a kid a weggie. What's next, no more wet willies or knuckle burns or Indian rope burns? Soon you'll get in trouble for leaving steamers at hotels.

I think it would be great if more teachers and principals had that level of familiarity with their students.

The easy solution is to just post links when posting news. But I forgot that you have severe insecurity issues so taking criticism is definitely above you.
