(Sorry for the repost as this is up in the video section too, but I need to order this thing soon in order to get the rebate in on time...)
I'm in need of a new monitor for a relatively small desk. I've been eyeing the LCDs for a long time, but their substantially higher prices and reports of ghosting problems has always deterred me.
I stumbled across the Princeton SENergy 714 at buy.com for $220 which is a little more than I was looking to spend right now, but I'm tempted to go for it in order to get a good-sized crisp monitor that's compact and good for 1280x1024 without annoying flicker.
I'm still worried about the game performance though. Are the current crop of LCDs responsive enough for a good gaming experience at this point are the CRTs really the ones to stick with at this point?
