Nice price, considering it now. I would jump on it if I cannot find something that is widescreen.

Better deal here eBuyer

From this thread here

389 + 8.00 shipping -100 inrebate = 297.00

Plus for us in CA , TN NJ, etc we have sales tax. eBuyer only charges tax to AZ.

Newegg for me would be 418 + 30.31 tax + 12.00 shipping - 100.00 rebate = 360.31

a 63.00 savings

So let me see..... $360 is less than $330, so it's a better deal?

I've been to that website twice and I don't see Princeton as one of their vendors. I'm unable to figure out what you're talking about. But enjoy the savings.

What about my above math isn't clear to you? Your 360- chunkee's 297 = My savings 63

Where is 330 coming from???
I think I see where your 330 is coming from. Newegg 418 + 12 shipping -100 rebate = 330 for the states than Newegg doesn't charge tax. But 297 is still $33 chearper than 330, as long as you don't live in AZ.

If you can't figure out how to get to eBuyer's USA site, I'll explain. Click on the link, Lower left click on Global. Then click on USA. Search for Princeton LCD19D and you will see. I tried linking to the monitor above but it's tied to a cookie from when you chose which country/eBuyer site you wanted to shop UK or USA.

EDIT here's two more places cheaper than Newegg:

PC Connection
399.88 = 19.26 shipping no tax - 100 rebate = 319.14

PC Mall
399 + 32.92 tax + free shipping - 100 rebate = 331.92

If PC Mall doesn't charge tax in your state than the final AR price is 299, only 2.00 worse than eBuyer.

Here are some ebuyer customer comments in just the past couple of weeks. Buyer beware - it's VERY difficult, if not impossible, to have a meaningful conversation with this company.

1/16/05 3:32 PM
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

1/14/05 4:42 AM
I have ordered the monitor with Priority Service and 2 additional items. The due date was 12 Jan 2005. I've got 2 unimportant items very quickly on the second business day, but most expensive and most important part of the order still hasn't been delivered. I've sent a eNote to Customer Service 12 of january and hasn't got a reply yet. There is no telephone number on a web site to ring them and find out what is going on. I am really upset, that I've ordered the monitor with ebuyer.com

1/3/05 5:14 PM
I have been shopping online for over 5 years now and I have never ordered anything from a more UNCARING about customers company, as this one.

12/29/04 7:52 PM
Puchased several items on the 12/12/04 (all in stock) items were meant to have been delivered by the 24th, they werent no explansion has been given Tried to contact them on teh 20th using Enote (only way to communicate with these cowboys) got a standard reply telling me that tehy will reply in 2 buisness days, 9 days later no one has. Close that enote and started another got the same email it will take 2 days to reply. My Christmas is spoilt because of thsi dreadful company.

Hey, why not scroll through all the commments and pick all the bad ones out. I am glad you're not a newspaper reporter. Sure everystore has it's negs but WHY didn't you put their resellerratings out there???It's 7.85 out of 10. The ave resellerrating is 7.24. The high average is 9.08. Guess what? These Guys are better than average. Have you ever bought from them before? I have. They were great with me. Everyone knows Newegg is a good company but they don't have the best prices on a lot of things.

Check out merchant ratings onthe pricegrabber site. Newegg is a 4.79/5 lifetime and eBuyer is 4.21/5.
Again above average. If you don't like eBuyer go to PC Connection. Their ratings are 8.62 on resellerratings and 4.29/5 on Pricegrabber merchant ratings.

If you want to buy from a company that won't support the sale when you have a problem that's your business. Chances are you didn't even know you were taking this risk.

See how many bad reviews like these you can find for Newegg in the last couple of weeks, and Newegg is doing A HECK OF A LOT MORE BUSINESS than these clowns.

Your agenda other than pimping Newegg and bad mouthing other vendors? Why would you bad mouth a vendor you had no dealings with? How do you know they have no customer support? Did you call them?Because you read it at resellerrating? Hey, I buy from Newegg, but they charge tax in CA. and there are better deals to be had elsewhere all the time.
These neg reviews you posted from resellers claim the only way to contact them is by eNotes as they have no telephone number. Total BS. I just looked at their website and found their customer service phone #. It's
480-222-1600 (Customer Support)
Monday - Friday 8-5 MST

How hard could they have looked when I found it in under 10 seconds?

Agreed it's not an 800 number but it's a phone number that exists and the guys that wrote the reviews are full of it. I called to see if someone actually answered the phone and asked if they charged a restocking fee if I am not happy with an item and I return it. She said yes, it's 20%. I asked what if the item was defective and I returned it, would there be a restocking charge and she said no. Did you know that Newegg charges a restocking fee even if the product was defective and you just want your money back?

Here it is right from Newegg's site:

There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns for refund, unless waived by our Customer Support Agent. Newegg is not responsible for manufacturer defects. We are not manufacturers. We are willing to replace a defective item. If a refund is requested instead of a replacement we will charge a 15% restocking fee. Why? Claiming "defective" is the easy way out of a restocking fee just because you don't want the item. If it's defective we will replace it (rma type repair).

For CPU and Memory refunds, any restocking fee we use will be a reflection on current market value for the same cpu item. Newegg.com will not allow returns and then re-orders in attempts to make a profit on CPU and Memory price fluctuations.

Do your homework and quit posting crap just because you read it on resellerratings.

Your logic leaves a lot to be desired. Everything you posted from Newegg makes perfect sense.
Newegg only charges a restocking fee if you want out of the deal - what's wrong with that? That's what restocking fees are for. They shouldn't have to put up with people ordering several items of the same type (like maybe video cards), choosing the one they like the best, and then returning the rest. Do you get it? Are you really sure ebuyer will let you out of a deal for free, just because you say it's defective? If so, they're stupid.

What I posted may be annoying to you, because you have an agenda of promoting ebuyer, but it's not crap. It's other peoples experiences. I couldn't care less if you don't like it.

I'm not pimping Newegg or bad mouthing anyone, including you.
How about you? Pimping ebuyer, bad mouthing Newegg, and bad mouthing me.

First, I am not pimping eBuyer like you are pimping Newegg. I could give a hairy rats ass about eBuyer myself. It could have been any other company I would have stood up for them if they were fair sellers. I just don't post without facts or make up things or post slanted info. Every thing I posted on your thread is based in fact with links to show for it. The only reason I got into this shitslinging contest with you is I posted a better deal on your thread and all you did was badmouth eBuyer. I actually gave three better prices if you remember. Most people around here are appreciative of a better deal, even if it is posted in the OP's thread. Not you.

As far a my info on Newegg. If I get defective merchandise and I decide I want my money back I should get it back. The company should not be making money off me for defective merchandise. And though you seem to doubt it, yes eBuyer would return my money if I received defective merchandise. Remember I called their non-existent telephone line. Amazon will refund your money AND pay for return shipping if your item is defective or not. 100% satifaction guaranteed. There are no restocking charges from them either. But I guess Amazon is also stupid. I won't do business with someone who charges a restocking fee on returning defective merchandise. I shop at the Egg but if they ever try it with me, that's the last penny they see from me. Fry's doesn't charge a restocking fee on anything. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Compusa used to charge a restocking fee on returned merchandise but never on defective stuff and now they dropped to fee altogether. I would be hard pressed to think of a company that actually practices a restocking fee on defective merchandise.

You need to learn to art of posting a deal and the rest that goes along with it. If I were you I would refrain from posting any more deals until you learn a few manners. I will excuse you because you are a n00b.
