Here are some ebuyer customer comments in just the past couple of weeks. Buyer beware - it's VERY difficult, if not impossible, to have a meaningful conversation with this company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I have ordered the monitor with Priority Service and 2 additional items. The due date was 12 Jan 2005. I've got 2 unimportant items very quickly on the second business day, but most expensive and most important part of the order still hasn't been delivered. I've sent a eNote to Customer Service 12 of january and hasn't got a reply yet. There is no telephone number on a web site to ring them and find out what is going on. I am really upset, that I've ordered the monitor with ebuyer.com

I have been shopping online for over 5 years now and I have never ordered anything from a more UNCARING about customers company, as this one.

Puchased several items on the 12/12/04 (all in stock) items were meant to have been delivered by the 24th, they werent no explansion has been given Tried to contact them on teh 20th using Enote (only way to communicate with these cowboys) got a standard reply telling me that tehy will reply in 2 buisness days, 9 days later no one has. Close that enote and started another got the same email it will take 2 days to reply. My Christmas is spoilt because of thsi dreadful company.
Hey, why not scroll through all the commments and pick all the bad ones out. I am glad you're not a newspaper reporter. Sure everystore has it's negs but WHY didn't you put their resellerratings out there???It's 7.85 out of 10. The ave resellerrating is 7.24. The high average is 9.08. Guess what? These Guys are better than average. Have you ever bought from them before? I have. They were great with me. Everyone knows Newegg is a good company but they don't have the best prices on a lot of things.
Check out merchant ratings onthe pricegrabber site. Newegg is a 4.79/5 lifetime and eBuyer is 4.21/5.
Again above average. If you don't like eBuyer go to PC Connection. Their ratings are 8.62 on resellerratings and 4.29/5 on Pricegrabber merchant ratings.
I don't have any agenda here other than helping people find the best deals.
If you want to buy from a company that won't support the sale when you have a problem that's your business. Chances are you didn't even know you were taking this risk.
See how many bad reviews like these you can find for Newegg in the last couple of weeks, and Newegg is doing A HECK OF A LOT MORE BUSINESS than these clowns.
Your agenda other than pimping Newegg and bad mouthing other vendors? Why would you bad mouth a vendor you had no dealings with? How do you know they have no customer support? Did you call them?Because you read it at resellerrating? Hey, I buy from Newegg, but they charge tax in CA. and there are better deals to be had elsewhere all the time.
These neg reviews you posted from resellers claim the only way to contact them is by eNotes as they have no telephone number. Total BS. I just looked at their website and found their customer service phone #. It's
480-222-1600 (Customer Support)
Monday - Friday 8-5 MST
How hard could they have looked when I found it in under 10 seconds?
Agreed it's not an 800 number but it's a phone number that exists and the guys that wrote the reviews are full of it. I called to see if someone actually answered the phone and asked if they charged a restocking fee if I am not happy with an item and I return it. She said yes, it's 20%. I asked what if the item was defective and I returned it, would there be a restocking charge and she said no. Did you know that Newegg charges a restocking fee even if the product was defective and you just want your money back?
Here it is right from Newegg's site:
There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns for refund, unless waived by our Customer Support Agent. Newegg is not responsible for manufacturer defects. We are not manufacturers. We are willing to replace a defective item. If a refund is requested instead of a replacement we will charge a 15% restocking fee. Why? Claiming "defective" is the easy way out of a restocking fee just because you don't want the item. If it's defective we will replace it (rma type repair).
For CPU and Memory refunds, any restocking fee we use will be a reflection on current market value for the same cpu item. Newegg.com will not allow returns and then re-orders in attempts to make a profit on CPU and Memory price fluctuations.
Do your homework and quit posting crap just because you read it on resellerratings.
