I just started playing the game and I'm at the part in the beginning where you need to gripfall down the cliff to get to the temple. i hang from the ledge and it says to use R2 to gripfall. i press R2 and nothing happens. I've tried hanging from every spot on the ledge and pressing R2 but nothing happens.

WTF am I missing or doing wrong?
 
Tried all the other buttons? At worst Elika will save you 🙂 And pay attention which one you used to grip-fall.

i did some searching and apparently it is a bug. you have to save the game and reload it and it will work.

none of the buttons would work, couldn't talk to Elika, couldn't even jump over the cliff to fall and die. just hung there on the edge.

reloading a saved game worked though
 
Weird -- I just recently beat the game. It's very repetitive but ending is pretty decent.
 
Rented it this weekend and got my platinum trophy easily. The ending was HORRIBLE. It pretty much negates your entire journey through the game.
