Unlike most of the people in this thread - I enjoyed this performance more than halftime show in the last few years.

wtf ...

Isn't the policy that a comment like that sends you to the ban box for a bit?

I am not a fan of his music since it is too weird for me sometimes, but I would never be so ignorant to say that he doesn't have talent.

You people have fun on your little bandwagon...
i was saying he was ghey to have enjoyed the performance.

you and your comment can kma.
I'm not gay or ghey (your spelling) and I enjoyed his halftime performance.

He did a very admirable job. I'm not the biggest prince fan in the world, but watching him perform on my 37" 1080P HDTV was pretty magical. Absolutely stunning PQ and SQ from his performance. And as noted, he is a great guitarist. His vocals turn me off a bit sometimes though.

And it's quite sad how little appreciation most people have for good music here. Apparently they'd rather be listening to Britney Spears, Nelly, or some other god awful pop act.

the whole half-time show is totally over done. can't they just give guys some hot cheerleaders to stare at during half-time and call it a day?

I saw it on a 50'' 1080p and was impressed as well. :p

That guitar sounded really good considering it was raining. I thought the water would screw everything up.

I don't understand why somebody would have to have been gay to have enjoyed the performance. Do you have a reason why?

It's mosh you're talking about.

ETA - If that had been a comment made by most other people including myself, I would be banned. *shrug*

They need to have someone more mainstream and more of today's music. I personally don't like Prince's music, but irregardless they need to get a big name group today. Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down come to mind off hand, I am sure there are others. Carrie Underwood has a phenomenal voice, but her music (Being Christian :) ) doesn't appeal to many and may be seen as alienating some.

I never insulted your music tastes. If you disagree with my choices say so without being a complete asshole.

He sounded very good, despite the rain.

Being able to play and sing that well in the rain deserves respect.
Ditto. That was a great performance! I loved it! Those who say he can't sing are used to their lip-synching, no talent boy band teen acts. What a joke! Those who say he wasn't really playing guitar don't know how badass he is on guitar! That was the best superbowl half-time show ever, and he pulled that sh!t off in the purple rain! Bow Down, Losers!

I'm not a big Prince fan, but I thought he rocked. I thought this and the Paul McCartney halftime shows were the best of recent years. I just wished they get rid of the stupid faux stage crowds.

He plays the guitar while wearin that thing on his head. Must be style.

Is he really playing the guitar.... Doesn't llok like his hands are on the guitar half the time...

Halftime shows aren't live. When the superbowl was in Atlanta, some of my friends were in it.

Prince is a pretty good guitarist

I guessed that link before I clicked on it.

Same. :D

I thought the show was pretty damn good. I really enjoyed it

I'm pretty sure he was playing the guitar at all times (why wouldn't he be?). He always had at least one hand on, usually his left hand. I think he was just hammering on the strings with his left hand while waving his right hand around or whatever.

You can take credit for saying it first. I also thought Prince, all mockery aside, actually played a decent tune. My feet actually started to move with the beat.

Nothing surpassed, in my head, the trifecta from hell 3 or so years ago with Justin Timberlake, Britney, and Areosmith.

You're obviously missing the sarcasm in that string of posts, as mosh is not a moronic 12 year old and sure doesn't talk like one.
