One month and counting from the day of this post, Revolutions and the matrix trilogy will end. So to really get the matrix engines revving I though I'd post a thread with a daily countdown and a little matrix question.

I also invite anyone else with unanswered questions they may have about the Matrix universe to post them here. And hopefully we'll get enough good answers to effectively "geek up" enough for the premier!

=-=-=-=-Caution Animatrix spoilers ahead-=-=-=-=
(then again if you havent seen the Animatrix yet you aren't sufficently "revved" enough to continue :D)

Question 1- In the Animatrix The Second Rennaissance Part II; the narrator mentions how the human race rejects the machines and bombards the nation 01 with nukes.
-now what I'm wondering is if "01 was engulfed in the glow of a thousands suns" how did the machines survive the intial EMP blasts nukes deliver when detonated?

Question 2- Why didn?t the humans just build more machines to wage war against the machines?

Quesiton 3- What happens to the matrix when the humans trapped in the system reach the point in time when the machines take over?

I was kinda annoyed at the mind games in Reloaded so my excitement level isn't very high for Revolutions.

but but but butt I already know how that trilogy is going to end.....unless a hollywood/new zealand ending is thrown in.

I can see it now, the Hulk jumps in at the very end. Smashing the ring, eating gollum, and flipping off Sauron. Only to magically jump/fly away in the nick of time!!!!! best movie evAr!

Matrix Reloaded ruined it for me, it was simply not a patch on the original Matrix. Another example of ruining a perfectly good idea with unneccesary scenes and special effects that don't actually add anything to the story. I hope the thirs is a lot better.

As for Lord of The Rings: Return of the King, now THAT is going to be unbelievable! ;)

<neo>Whoa!</neo>

I guess we can chalk up another one on the list of gigantic inconsistencies in the script of the Matrix. Oh well, the fight scenes and the animation are still unbeatable. :p

How about least favourite lines in the film? Mine is this:

Trinity : A sentinel. Killing machine designed for one thing.

Gee, let me guess! Killing? Uh-DUH!

Agreed, I have no hope that the third will be much better as they were both filmed at the same time. I just don't see the creators changing direction mid-stride. It's going to be a disappointment (just like reloaded).

screw the Matrix....

KILL BILL vol.1 is going to be THE flick.

I read the so called spoilers of the movie and they seem to coincide with the latest trailer. If those spoilers are true...I dunno what to think

I've pre-purchase 50 tickets and I'm going out on the street to sell them tonight. I'd tell you how I did later, but I'm sure I'll be rolling in piles of benjamins.

KILL BILL will own you BOY!

Seriously, the film is already being reviewed as a bona-fide hit. And if your eye roll is in defense of that junk (reloaded and revolutions) then I hereby designate you a Matrix fanboy.

reloaded was crap (and you know it).
revolutions will (probably) suck harder.

the military has them. i would guess all machines aren't shielded because it is too expensive. but it exists

I think the ending of Revolutions will suprise you and most of the inconsistencies that you perceive will disappear. I think that there are enough spoilers in the Animatrix to give away the ending of Revolutions. The EMP from the nuclear attack on 01 is one such clue.

I'd like to see reloaded come out on dvd first, I like to watch the entire series upto that point before I go see the next movie, hehe. Same with LOTR.

LOL :)

I think what Joeyman was asking is, if the machines of 01 were impervious to EMP's during the first nuclear attack shown in Animatrix, then how come the sentinels in the Matrix film are vulnerable to it now?
