Primerica? wtf?

I got a vmail at work and some guy said "I'd like to talk about a possible business oppurtunity." I was kinda busy at the time but I decided to call back at the number he gave and some other guy answered and started talking about becoming a Primerica agent and how they were part of Citigroup. Being busy, I really wasn't listening too well to hm and before I knew it, he set up an appointment for Tuesday at 11 am. Ive heard of them before but never really knew what they did and Google tell me that they have people set up home-based business (or as Primerica puts it "independent business oppurtunity")

I asked the guy how he got my WORK phone number, he said "Probably a business card." Funny, I don't have a business card...😛

anybody else dealt with them?

also search the forums (and archives). many primerica discussions have taken place......most don't have good things to say about Primerica.

I knew I'd heard about them before, and it wa sprobably here. Should've done a search first...😛

so the question now is, should I just not go tomorrow or should I be nice and tell them I'm not gonna be able to make it to the appointment?

Show me a real source that they are a "scam" not some idiot who thinks that primerica is offering to pay out 12% when they themselves are actually getting 14% returns.

.

did you READ this guys post first? Primerica may or may not be a scam but NOTHING he posted helps the cause of claiming that they are a scam.
