I have an open house job interview with them tomorrow @ freakn 7:30am in the morning.

My friend just left me a msg saying they're a scam. Let me know if they are so I can just stop wasting my fn time and go to sleep..

The website says 'member of citigroup' If Citigroup is what I'm thinking of, they are a huge corporation (used to be citibank iirc).

and it DOES sound like a scam now... it seems like it's not a private interview, it's an "open house" @ 7:30am in the morning.. WTF? (I have to leave in 2 hours)

I should go afterall to check things out.. only if it wasn't so damn early in the morning.

Hope you enjoy selling insurance, because that's what it looks like. They want you as a commission-only salesman, with no benefits, and unpaid training. Let us know anyway.

Oh, I never said they couldn't be...I just seemed to make them a bit more legitimate, but Jimmyhaha's link says otherwise. I haven't encountered them, so I cannot say.

Exactly, I had a call from one of those guys once. Know how they got your name? Online job site probably. Your basically a insurance salesman but with the added fun of trying to hire other insurance salesman.
 
It's not a scam, but it's not a "job" either. This is the type of thing you'd do if you had a job, but wanted to become your own boss IMO.

I went to one of their presentations a few weeks ago because a friend of mine had been bugging me about it. They were very misleading, talk about fuzzy math. I felt like I was on an infomercial late at night on TNN. One of the dudes that worked for them sat in the audience and answered every rhetorical question the speaker asked. It was so damned annoying that I wanted to strangle that bastard. I'm sure that's one of his job responsibilities. Anyway, they wanted me to believe that I would be making $300k a year within ten years. I was like, whatever dudes.

The whole thing sounded like a big pain in the ass. If you need money fast, you're better off selling your little men.
 
Went to a one on one session with them once. Wouldn't go again.

"Now, we don't ask you to go to strangers. You go to neighbors, family friends, family, etc and ask them if you can give them a presentation about how you can save them money."

The thought that came to my mind was, "Sure, why make perfect strangers hate you when you can have family hating your guts and avoiding you."
 
You know they are tryign to become your friend so that you can trust them. I should know all this $hit, because I'm quilty of doing it. First with 2by2 in high school and then just recently World Financial Group (also insurance). Now I'm looking at mail order stuffing. I'm an anal retard and will never learn to just leave these SCAMS alone! Someone please knock some sense into me.
