PrimeGrid WU Length Question

For the PrimeGrid Challenge Race in two days:

I ran one SOB WU on 4770K (@3.8Ghz) with non-Prime WUs on the other six cores (save one for MW@H GPU).
The SOB WU took 5.15 days to finish.

Question #1: Of the available options, is SOB the choice for best points?

Question #2: How much longer will seven SOB WUs take than when running one? Will they finish in eight days?

Some timings taken from the race thread:

The challenge runs for 192 hours.

Intel Haswell @ 3.6Ghz with 2400 memory:
SoB: 105 hours
PSP: 40.5 hours.
ESP: 6.25 hours.

Intel Sandy Bridge 2600K @ 4.4Ghz (4 cores running) with 1866 memory 9-10-9-24 timings:

SoB: ~125.5 hrs
PSP: ~56 hrs
ESP: ~7.5 hrs

Intel Ivy Bridge 3570K @ 3.7Ghz with 1600 memory 8-8-8-24 timings:

SoB: ~145 hrs
PSP: ~59 hrs
ESP: ~8.5 hrs

Intel Ivy Bridge 3570K @ 4.4Ghz with 2400 memory 10-12-12-31 timings:

SoB: ~118 hrs
PSP: ~50 hrs
ESP: ~7 hrs

AMD Phenom II 970BE @ 3.7Ghz with 1333 memory 7-7-7-21 timings:

SoB: No chance. 🙄
PSP: ~124 hrs
ESP: ~18.5 hrs

Question #1: Of the available options, is SOB the choice for best points?

It's nice work if you can do it.

  • SoB has a 50% long job credit bonus and a 10% conjecture credit bonus.
  • PSP has a 35% long job credit bonus and a 10% conjecture credit bonus.
  • ESP has a 10% long job credit bonus and a 10% conjecture credit bonus.

Question #2: How much longer will seven SOB WUs take than when running one? Will they finish in eight days?

Hard to predict. But I'd do 4 rather than 7 at a time. LLR uses your cores so efficiently that HT doesn't help at all - except maybe when running a completely different program. RAM bandwidth may also be a limiting issue.
