And we're off! Get WUs when you can.

Sorry, that won't work. BOINC won't get any new WUs from a project with suspended WUs. :(

Well, i set the wu amount to 10 days, downloaded excess wu's after the launch. Now I can suspend each wu on their own. I now have 8 wu'd, they 4 I was crunching and 4 unstarted. I could suspend each wu under tasks--->suspend and pick up on them after the race.

Hmmm...I don't see dajeepster in the stats.

dajeepster, the only WUs that count are those downloaded after the start of the race. You need to reset the project or abort all the WUs in your que.

Quick question: What frequency is imporatnt for overclocking gpus for this race?
Shaders, shaders, and more shaders! Memory and core clock barely matter; leave them at stock or lower. (But note that a Fermi's core clock and shader clock are linked, so both have to be bumped.)

Aha! It's not an app_info.xml thing; it's a cc_config.xml thing!

P.S. Running two units at once may not get as much speedup as you expect. In this case, I'm guessing <count>1.0</count> with either <cmdline>-m24</cmdline> or <cmdline>-m48</cmdline> might be the best balance between the two cards.

Edit: Updated the first post with cc_config.xml information and some more suggestions besides.

well i hope the one rig I am working on is stable cause it looks like the check points if there are any were corrupted :(. But its early so I didn't lose much.

Also I am just overclocking a lowly geforce 210 so I'll see what I can do with the shader clock.

I'm currently running with HT off (i7 920), would turning that on give more speed for primegrid?

I have one quad with 9800GT going full tilt.

The other quad is kaput for now. I don't think I will have the hardware issues fixed before the challenge ends.:(

My I7 920 OC @ 4.0 is running with HT on.

Looks like Each core will do a Wu in about 10 hours.

3:37 min in and i'm at 34.222% or so on Avg.

Hope this helps.

Go TeAm AnandTech!

Probably not. I'd focus on getting that 8800GT returning work first.

Definitely, do the 9600gso first.

Also note my new comment about drivers. (Try to use 256.53 for Linux. I'm not sure what's best for Windows.)

I'm running 260.99 for my win7 machines with nvidia
i'm running 10.11 CCC APP for my win7 machines with ATI.
All my machines are win7

oh.. and the machine i put the 9600gso in.. its' first... not because you said so... it was because the 275 woudn't fit in the first slot because the power connector for one of the xeon cpu interfered with it... just dump luck the way that worked... lol
