BioDoc, how many more cores to do I have on this than you? If we looked at it from a power consumption standpoint, I am certain you are much greener...

I have 29 cores (4 rigs) so you and I may be pretty close on power consumption.:hmm:

Thanks for the stats! 😛

😀

I have mine in eight rigs (at least? It's Monday...) so I don't know about that 😛 Those Thubans are each worth ~200W under load!

Those are the laziest stats ever... I am going to open Excel and start doing some actual, you know, stats with differentials and stuff 🙂

Thanks for the stats, blckgrffn! I guess I'm getting rusty because I forgot to post some last night. :$ I'll try to remember to post 24-hour stats.

Twelve hours since my first stats, so:

Rank Name Score
1 Sicituradastra. 702706.33
2 SETI.Germany 568724.11
3 Ukraine 392389.92
4 Czech National Team 335177.59
5 Team 2ch 293457.61
6 PrimeSearchTeam 285873.71
7 TeAm AnandTech 173567.10
8 Crunching@EVGA 153727.69
9 BOINC@Poland 141617.36
10 Polish National Team 133708.93

Going to do some math and make them more presentable now...

We could use a little (lot!) more horsepower to keep that divide between 7th and 8th as wide as possible. I think its fair to say that we are the only team in reach of several others...

Thanks for the stats blckgrffn! 🙂

My 3930K is doing better now. Upgraded to boinc 7.0.23 and reduced cores to 11. I have a reasonable que and crunch time is down to just over 7 minutes on average.

Very good 🙂 So I won't be catching you after all? 😛

You were ahead of me for a few hours early this morning EST...:whiste:

I'm still dying to get this thing running native linux. I tried VirtualBox but crunch times were pathetic. 🙄

Maybe I'll do it. I'll lose an hour of crunch time though. 😉

Not worth it 🙂

@ Petrusbroder (is there a name I could use to refer to you that is shorter and OK? 🙂 )

Looks like we lost ~3k of our lead in the three hours between posting stats. Uh-oh.

(good thing I didn't see this earlier, or a lunch run to MicroCenter for another 2500k might have been in the cards...)

Thanks for the stats, Peter! 🙂

@blckgrffn, kubuntu is installed and running very smoothly. Lost 1 hour 15 min of crunch time. I couldn't resist!!

Haha, well, that's done then 😛

Also, yes, thanks for the stats, Peter!

luckily I was checking albeit no often, my 2500K got stuck on 4 wu and was crunching away on 4 that were at over 4 hours!! Once I ended processes and restarted boinc looks to be back on track :/

nice! That might be a big part of the juice we need to stay ahead 🙂

well I have some rigs that were set to 1 days work early on and have now been changed to .01 buffer...Flush will occur before the end of the race hopefully that will also help.

Crunching@EVGA is gaining approx 2 - 3K every 3 - 4 hours.
We need more power, mor cores, more crunchers, more members to help out ...
Please recruit!

I just pulled in one of my friends and his i7 920 for some moar power 🙂

Avoiding your last name is going to be easy for me, Peter!

For what it may be worth...I just finished adding 12 cores and 6 more to come. Hopefully it helps a little even if late in the game.

Ha! I bet that helps a lot! 🙂

With these little WU's, its easy to have an impact very quickly...

What are your caches set to? Seems like not a lot of work available at this time. Getting no work messages.
Anyway 18 cores online and crunching!

.1 or .25 (my usual cache depth)

Seems slow at first, but I just got a big shot of WUs after changing my ESXi 5 box over to Hyper-V for Class (and likely the rest of the race, depending on performance...)

I think mine are at 0.5 . It looks like there is a hard limit of 40ish WU's / host. So, the slooow laptop has always had something to nibble on.

Sorry, I'm not really doing the race. If I get one of the WUs, I get one, but I haven't re-configured my settings for the race.
