It's not a glitch. Your latest validation happened on 17 September 14:47 UTC. All tasks which you reported more recently than this are still pending validation.

(PrimeGrid's challenge stats currently contain granted credit after validation + pending credit before validation. But they will wait weeks if not months for the "cleanup" after Saturday for all validations to complete, before the challenge results are declared final.)

PS,
if I am counting correctly, only 19 % of your completed tasks were validated yet. I got already 50 % validated. Though the pace of validations doesn't influence the outcome of the challenge, of course.
I always like having them validated ahead of time. This removes the chance of moving backwards during clean up, and keeps the final stats, um errr, final.

Oh, I was talking about CPU. I'm not sure if I'm familiar with GPU wattage settings, that may be something that can be controlled in a newer version of Nvidia's software?

Nuts, I'm too busy to do stats today. Anyone else want to try?

I don't know what the heck was in that 'energy drink' you grabbed out of your saddle bag and tossed to me as I passed, but thanks! :D And I appreciate you encouraging me as I passed, waving with one finger, no doubt telling me to go take the number one spot, but, I just don't see that as possible with the late start and all. :p

Ugh. The ThreadRipper REALLY sucks at this. ANOTHER 24 hours before it drops it's first round of tasks (late start) (4 threads per task). I guess that is about equal to ThunderStike though, 24 hours with 7 threads per task, with a much lower clock.

You blew by me so fast and now you disappeared over the horizon!

Nice crunching. :D

My 2700X is running 2x8 threads and they take 27 hours to complete. :(

That seems long. Mine are 2×8 and are around 20 hours. Everything is stock. Nothing else running really. Win10.

There is a LOT of variation in task length. I'm trying not to put too much stock in them as far as determining if a particular machine is running properly or not.

Thanks to @StefanR5R for doing the stats yesterday. :)

I feel like I'm not too far behind Orange Kid, but I probably am. Just like it looks like we're not too far behind Sicituradastra, but we probably are.

Well, now I know why I was running so slowly. I had a bunch of leftover TN-Grid processes running in another BOINC instance. :( "pc" isn't a descriptive process name, at all.

10 hours to go, changed up my app_configs again, some to running just one task on all threads, in hopes of finishing off the work already downloaded. I'm hoping for another 250k, it will be tight on time though...

@Markfw , I wonder how many more PPD per KWh you could do if you undervolted instead of overclocked? I've mostly laid off the OCing since the electric bills have been almost too much to handle.
To be clear, with Nvidia cards, the thing to do is to turn down the maximum wattage. I haven't seen much benefit from underclocking or undervolting. I think changing the wattage generally does that for you.
This may also be a good approach on newer CPUs: Set a power target (sort of cTDP), then let the CPU's built in sensors and firmware figure out the optimum voltage:frequency point for the current workload. In theory, both AMD's and Intel's desktop CPUs have the necessary capabilities, as they are mere derivatives from server CPUs and laptop CPUs which both are trimmed for energy efficiency. In practice, I guess it depends on whether the BIOS exposes this functionality.

Oh, I was talking about CPU. I'm not sure if I'm familiar with GPU wattage settings, that may be something that can be controlled in a newer version of Nvidia's software?
$ sudo nvidia-smi -pl 200
sets a power limit (board power target) of 200 Watts, for example.
Works also on Windows, without sudo but with the path prepended.

In practice, when my CPU throttles, it throttles all the way down to 800MHz. :( For brief periods. Then back to full speed.

Good job TeAm! 5th place is amazing, considering it's overlapped with FB Sprint. Unfortunately, I couldn't join this one because I need my pc to do some simulation work.
But... but... nobody expected Oktoberfest to start mid September!
(The one in Munich apparently starts on September 22.)
Were you in this picture?

I can see a lot of big jugs being distributed there.
