I know its 53 days out, but since there are 2 different categories, are we supposed to invite 1/2 of our boxes to one and 1/2 of our boxes to the other ? never seen this in a "race" for PG ever.

Just run whatever sub project you want. For best PPD you'd want to run whichever one gives the best PPD for your hardware.

You literally participated in the last event with the same sub projects.

You literally participated in the last event with the same sub projects. And the estimated time (as you see I am trying the CUL one) is 6.5 to 7.5 hours for a 8C task on Zen 5 cores. That is a lot higher than the last event.
The last event was the one at the top. The other 2 are at least in a different place in the task list.

I didn't say the last event that took place. I said the last event where both of those sub projects were in the challenge.

You could go with Woodall for this one, Since you’ve already found a Cullen; albeit a Generalized one 😏

They're pretty similar in PPD, so I don’t think it matters too much which one you choose.

Plenty of time to decide still

Well, I have 2 different configs now, 2 with CUL and about 2 different ones with WOO. So I can mix them if I want to. Based on times from my testing.

Oh,. and I have another 9755 128 core on the way. It will replace a 7950x and the 9534.

The PrimeGrid folks try to keep the PPD of these projects as similar as possible. Differences on some computers may remain, but they should be small.

Each of the two projects is issuing workunits of different sizes. Therefore it is insufficient to just look at run times. Rather, PPD of results needs to be calculated. And this should be done for smaller/ middling/ larger workunits of each of the two projects respectively --- on a single computer, not on different computers, to eliminate effects of the silicon lottery. Then compare the distributions of PPDs of both projects from smaller trough middle to larger WUs and see if there is any conclusive difference.

But as I said, the aim of those at PrimeGrid who set the credits of workunits is to keep PPD about the same across these two projects (across all of their prime search projects really, apart from long job credit bonus and conjecture credit bonus). Thus, an investigation into possible PPD differences (on a specific computer) is effectively an investigation into whether (or how much) the PrimeGrid admins missed their target (as far as this specific computer is concerned).

PS, as you probably noticed on the PrimeGrid preferences web page, both llrCUL and llrWOO receive 20% long job credit bonus.
