Prime95 - "Sumout"

What does this error mean? Tried looking it up in the help file but I didn't ahve the file.
 
Yep, thats a sign of system instability. Prime95 can usually catch things that other programs can't catch.
 
I received the same message once because my system crashed (I was using my assembler test program) and prime95 was running. When I restart prime95, in an other day, this message showed up.
 
Where can I get this Prime95?
I need to do stress test on my pc. Any other freeware/shareware for cpu's stress test?

I recently overclocked cel 566 to 953 on abit bh6 board.

The question is: Is the problem CPU or memory related? Some people receive this error even if their CPUs are not overclocked, indicating perhaps the memory settings are set a bit too aggressively.
 
could mean your voltage is too low - try increasing it at .025 incriments and see if it aleviates the problem. don't go too high though, you could fry your chip :/

safest bet would be underclock your chip a bit.
 
Prime 95 is outdated. I can run my Tbird with Quake 3 max resolution all day and it won't run like ONE SECOND of prime 95. Umm, something is wrong.
 
Even though it is outdated, Prime 95 is still a very usfull tool to use in diagnosing CPU/Memory overclocking failures. If you feel content running a semi stable system then go right ahead.
 
LIVAN: If you run Q3 at max resolution the cpu has to wait for the videocard a lot. Prime95 Doesn't let the cpu rest at all. Makes it really HOT.
 
Ahh yes semi-stable, but in the world of windows there is no such thing as a Stable Computer!!!! Try figuring out why I can't get Delta Force Land Warrior to install but I can run prime95 for 4 hours????
 
Some people think PRIME95 is teh bible. Which is fine, SOme people are in the Ku Klux Clan too and think its ok to incest. Why should Prime95 be the end all to everything? You mean to tell me there is NOTHING wrong with Prime95 when I can run virtually all other burnin programs and every game out there and my computer not crash in 2 weeks and I can't run 1 second of Prime 95 and its my computer? Lol no that is being blind.

Are you oveclocking? If yes try to set your cpu at default speed & run Prime95,if it passes then you were overclocked too much before.

If you are not overclocking then there may be a bug that Prime95 has with PIII's.
