I have a 3.2(maybe c, maybe e, didn't check, got as a gift) at 3.6 GHZ on stock voltage, I can Prime for an hour no errors, but whenever I overclock my system, windows loads slower than usual, and applications seem to start slower than usual as well, anyone experienced something similar?

I'm running 225x16 1:1, P4P800 DLX. I've seen windows load slow before, but those times were because the O/C is too high and the system was unstable, never could I prime fine and still encounter this.

any ideas?

Sounds like there may be a problem with the AGP/PCI clocks not being locked, experienced similar problems in the past on athlon boards when those two components weren't locked.

Check yer motherboard specs and see if there supposed to be locked or can be locked in bios.

I'll take a wild stab: p4p800 "PAT" does not work if you oc it even 1mhz. May it is the cause? Personally I think this is not the cause. As the PAT should not cause that much a difference.

I have personally have had a lot of weird problems w/ my p4p800 dlx.But I can never pinpoint any real prooblem.

The only time I have seen that is when the HD were running int 16bit combatiblity mode.
