I'm trying to find some type of benchmarking software other than 3DMark2000 v1.1 Something to stress my CPU to 100% load. I'm trying to OC, so once I get it to POST and boot, I want to stress the heck out of it. I think Prime 95 is strickly for benchmarking though, correct? Any sugestions?

Prime 95 is quite good, but it is by no means the best. I find that BurnP6 or BurnBX stresses my CPU to a much greater degree than Prime 95. Prime 95 gets my CPU up to a sustained 45 degrees celcius, whereas BurnP6 will get it up to 49 degrees celcius.

use multiple programs. prime95 + 3dmark + cpu stability test 5.0 + seti. this works for me.

i don't like cpu stability test 6.0. the floppy test thing it does pisses me off. 5.0 seems to do just as well but without the damn floppy thing.

seti, RC5, OGR, etc will all do the trick. While you're at it, you could join one of the Team Anandtech distributed computing teams...

I like running Prime95 and CPU Stability Test simultaneoulsy - I use Quake3 as a quick test but the Prime95/CPU Stability for burn-in.
