Prime95-option for Round Off Checking is grayed out

I downloaded what I assume is the latest version of Prime95, v24.14.

I have four instances of it in a folder with a shortcut to each instance and CPU Affinity set accordingly for a Quad Core CPU (0,1,2,3).

I know that in order to check for a stable overclock you're supposed to enable Round Off Checking, but that option is grayed out for me. What's up with this?

Get the latest version for your OS. See the stickied thread in this forum.

You just run one instance from one folder and it will start the number of threads matching the number of processors - actual or virtual.

Gee...I got it right from their website. Must've click the wrong thing.

The "just run one instance and it will start the right number of threads" thing is definitely new...never heard of that before. Always had to do it the old-fashioned way.

I'll check the thread.

Wow, v25.6 huh? Uh yeah...how I wound up with 24.14 is beyond me. Must've been one of "those nights."

This new version is SLICK, man! It indeed does start 4 threads automagically. And I can enable error checking.

yep go with v25.6 thats what i'm using right now to diagnose my crucial ram with BLEND

I'm still using 25.5 - what's new in 25.6?

Btw, do you have to manually enable "round off checking"? I have always assumed that it get automatically enabled whenever you select "torture test" from the menu. At least I've never manually enabled it, and I've had Prime95 error due to rounding errors, etc., while testing.
