Prime95 hanging when connecting to server?

Is it normal for Prime95 not to work sometimes? This sounds like a stupid question, but the other day I tried to run Prime95 and it would just hang with the message "connecting to server" or something or other in the window? At that point, it would just not do anything at all, and I would have to end task to close out of the program! I tried a reinstall as well... Is it common for these server issues to come up with Prime95?
