Prime95 Fatal Error

received this fatal error when i ran Prime95 torture test:

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

lots of people say it's ram...any way to be sure? how do i configure prime95 to test JUST ram and minimize cpu?

in the meantime, i will run memtest

(this is NOT about the system in my sig...that machine is running PERFECTLY!) =)

There are 3 tests that explain themselves. To know for sure, of course takes more work. Run memtest86. It is isolated almost entirely to RAM, but remember that no test can only test RAM or CPU; something else is always involved. Also, lower RAM timings, test again, and see if that makes a difference. If not, keep them the same as they were before and use a lower CPU multiplier. BTW, this should really go to CPU/Processors and OCing.

Prime95 is not a good test for the ram, use memtest to check for bad ram. The blend test does check ram, however the small FTT, and Large FTT use very little ram.

I recommend only testing with ONE module in at a time too.
