I installed my new Abit NF7-M mobo with a Barton 2500+ processor. This was a mobo/processor upgrade from an Asus A7V266-E/ Palomino 2000+ system.
Initially, I just booted up with existing OS and drivers to back-up some data to a network computer. Well, that was riddled with many crashes, reboots and BSOD's.
Eventually i got my files backed up and fdisked and formated my HD.
Now for a fresh install of WinXP Pro. I gotta say this was the most frustrating install I have had in a long time! Many BSOD's! But still I got it eventually. Now it comes time for testing.

I ran memtest86 and got errors on test 5 every time. Well i remember reading a post that said to bump the ram voltage up a bit because Abit undervolts a little. So I do this and boom! No more BSOD's! :) Happy and confident now, I pull down another copy of prime95!

Needless to say that was the last time I have felt confident about this system. I cannot get prime95 to run more than 3 hours with any settings I have tried! Memtest86 runs great as long as my RAM is @ least set @ 2.7v.
I have tried increasing my core voltage as high as 1.8v so far, ram as high as 2.9v and chipset I have only increased by .1v. These are all at Stock speeds! (11x166)

heres my system components:
Abit NF7-M / Barton 2500+ /retail hsf (installing SLK-800U today although temps haven't gone higher that 58c no matter what voltage used. usually around 50c under load at near stock volts)
2x256 Corsair XMS PC2700 CAS-2 dual channel mode.
(This ram was purchased when the PC2700 spec was brand new)
Antec True430 power supply etc.....

My bios is the lastest update using Abit's live update. I have tried using Abit's latest chipset drivers and have since tried the latest from Nvidia (v2.45)

I am kinda stumped! Really I haven't crashed since increasing ram voltage, but I want maximum stability!
Also this ram won't be staying in this system. It is going into a Shuttly AN35xxx TBred sys for my daughter as soon as I get some more ram and another HD for her PC.

I am hoping some of you NForce guys have had success with prime95 to give me ideas as to why I have not.

Thanks in advance!
