Prime95 Failure = What is causing the problem?

AMD AM2 3800X2
7600GT
Enermax 400w Liberty PSU
Asus M2N-E (i think) its an Nforce non SLI board

Anyways, so my cousin had his computer for a few months and it will always restart randomly on its own.

We troubleshooted and determined CnQ bugs still are there so its been disabled. However after disabling we still got core errors on Prime95 Large FTT test.

Now what could be causing the problem here? I did notice a slightly above optimal 12V rating from Asus PC Probe of 12.3 V

Also another thing i noticed was CPUZ shows cpu running at around 1.15 V but PC Probe claims core is at 1.35 which from what I recall is the stock voltage.

Everything is stock no OC's. Can failed instances of Prime still mean something is wrong?

Memtest passed ~6 hours of it done before.

Computer has not restarted since CnQ was disbaled.

Any suggestions, comments or thoughts are appreciated.

Failing Prime 95 even without OCing means somethings wrong. Could simply be a problem with your cooling system (improperly seated HSF, inadequate HSF, ambient temps too high, etc.) or it could indicate problems with your CPU or RAM... I'm sure somebody who knows a bit more about the details will elaborate

Temps were perfectly fine might I add... I never did check video temps so I am not sure about that .. but cpu was never higher than ~46 on two primes

His case is a Thermaltake Aguila btw, stock cpu cooler

What memory is it, specifically? What timings is the motherboard running it at? Have you tried giving the CPU slightly higher vcore, since all motherboards undervolt, but some undervolt more than others?
