Prime95 crash?

I was running prime95 to test an oc and a while later came back and windows had an error message that it crashed and had to be closed. I'm not sure if prime95 was still running in the background, it might have been. Obviously the overclock wasn't stable, but it was a bit strange that prime95 did not encounter a problem before itself crashed. (The icon was still red)

Yeah, it's getting too hot today, and being on the second floor doesn't help. Although I think I just need for voltage. My mobo reports 51C max temp with prime95 load on a A64 3200+ @2.5Ghz stock voltage. Is that hot? I know sometimes ASUS mobo's undertemp, but that seems pretty cool for summer. I think I might need more voltage.

2.5ghz at stock voltage is phenominal. Add a bit of voltage and see if it's stable.

51C is fairly hot for an Athlon XP, but I'm not sure what the A64 can handle in terms of temps.

My A64 maxes out at 61C with prime95. Needless to say I just bought a water cooling setup which should be here wednesday THANK GOD. Only reason the thing get sso warm is because the cooler is spose to range from 3000-6000 but this stupid thing is screwed up and ranges from 2900 to 3100.... what a POS. I can't wait for my water cooling 😀rool;

Can someone tell me what is the stock voltage for a A64 3200 cpu?
