I have a 3700+ sandy, MSI K8N neo2-F, and Corsair XMS 4000pro 500mhz.

I cant seem to get prime from giving me rounding errors. I can go about 7 minutes without getting a rounding error. My temps are 45 load on prime. I have my cpu at 2.6ghz and at 1.47 volts. My PSU is good, my volts dont drop much while prime is running. My FSB is 239 x 11 w/ a 4x HT link. I havent used a ram divider because my ram can run at 250 mhz. Any ideas? Should i try upping my volts?

Also its weird, i dont seem to be getting better FPS in CSS. THe stress test remains about the same at 110 fps avg. Is this the point at which my 6800GT is holding me back?

Likely all related to ram and ram timings....

I would either up the vdimm and/or lower the ram by using a 166 or 183 divider...

Agree with Duvie- I have the same mobo as you and a 146 opty(almost same chip as you) and I had to run a big divider on my supposedly high speed ram and up the memory volts to get things stable. Also I have read to NOT use a Tcrd value of 2 for your mem timings as that will make this board revert to 2.7 volts for memory no matter what you select in the bios!!

One question I have for you Heligrin- does your memory voltage reading show up in bios with the temps and other voltage readings?? I have no value for that showing up and can't believe MSI would not have a sensor/reading for the memory voltage! I have it set to 2.85 in bios but for all I know its at 2.6!!

Edit- also a question for Duvie- what does setting the memory drive strength in the hidden section of bios to "weak" do for performance/oc'ing ability? I'm new to this and hate to mess with that unless it would do more good than harm.

The drive strength often has a lot to do with brands of memory..i run TCCD chipsets and when I used TCCD specific bioses they always set the drive strength to weak....I get my best memory timings with the TCCD bios, so they must be doing something right.....

Thanks, will give it a try as I have TCCD memory also. Does the platinum version read memory voltage in the bios or how do you know what volts you are giving your memory? Multimeter? I just don't trust that just because I set the voltage to say 2.8 that that is really what the board is giving out.
