hey guys, i have heard all this talk about how prime 95 is a good program to test cpu stability. I was wondering how do i get it? Is it a program that can be downloaded? if so shiow me where to get it pleae. If it is in windows, could you show me there? or do i have to buy it at a computer store? Some help would be appreciated thx.

Yes, go get it from the sticky thread at the top of this forum. After you've unzipped the .zip archive, or run the self-extracting .exe archive, run the prime95.exe program. The first time you run prime95.exe, it will ask if you want to join GIMPS, or if you're "Just Stress Testing". Click on "Just Stress Testing". After the Prime95 window opens, click on the "Options" drop-down menu, and choose "Torture Test". The rule of thumb is your CPU and memory are stable if you can run the Prime95 Torture Test for 24 hours with no errors. You can stop the Torture Test by clicking the "Test" drop-down menu, and choosing "Stop".
