Prime 95 reads 64 degrees C on Test 50... Too Hot?

I'm really afraid this is too much.... I'm running my 2.66 at 150 FSB at 3010 ghz with a ThermalTake Volcano 7+ on the HIGH setting, along with Arctic Silver 3....Yeah, it got all the way up to test 50, but from 40-50 the temps are 62-64 and rising... I heard Abit boards are notorious for reporting temps alot higher than they actually are, so is my BG 7 the same? This is very very scary! Everything seems very very stable though..no lock ups or anything while gaming, SuperPI, or Prime 95 (up to test 50). I'm thinking perhaps I didn't add enough Artic Silver 3 to the CPU? I just put the AS3 on on thursday, so maybe it hasn't broken in yet? See the thing is, with the stock fan, it wasn't really that much different at STOCK speeds...I'm not really sure what's going on, hehe. i just want to know if this is safe or not. thanks

Abits read high but with that in mind that is still a high score...

Volcanos IMO are crap...I have had them and tried them....almost performed worse then the retail hsf at high fsb speeds...

Get an alpha 8926 hs and a ys tech 80mm 48cfm fan (full adjustable speed for fine tuning audio noise if you wish)

That is a great oc to have ruined by too high of temps...plus that temp could have gotten higher after a few hours of use...plus also wait until you do an app stressing cpu and plus stressing other components that heat up the case and thus cpu temps...I would not be happy with any load temps above mid 50's max...

That should help....make sure you follow manufacturers specs on fan is to be blowing off of hsf...it is the design of the hsf that makes this different then say the volcano.

Case fans will help but if your system temps were not above 30c you may not see much improvement there...

My alpha and 80mm fan while much quiter then the volcano at even the high speed setting reduced my high temps by 10-12c at load....Get it to 54c max load and you will be rocking....

well i bought the as3 from newegg, so i don't guess it would be fake? Duvie, thanks for the tips, would a swiftech MCX4000-B perform better than the alpha or are they on par with each other?
