hey guys im trying to oc my xp 1700+ rite now im up to 1920 but when i put it at 166x12 vcore @ 1.775 vdimm at 2.8 and i run prime 95 after the 4th test it says this
Test 5, 400 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M16515073 using 896k FFT length.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4995937347, expected less than .4
Hardware failure detected
i was wondering what exactly that meant lol?

it means that the cpu is making mathematical errors
in laymens terms, cpu is not stable
increase vcore or lower the overclock

Why is the vdimm at 2.8v??? Are you running pc2700 dimms???

Make sure you are using very conservative settings right now to isolate whether it is in fact the cpu making the error....sometimes it can be memory oc'd too high or settings too aggressive...

Yes!!! With an athlon I believe the 5v and 3.3v are more important....watch for deviations of 5% or greater from the deafult 12,5,and 3.3....Also watch for large drops under loading conditions...

failure is test #5 (that soon) means not very stable at all.....I would think vcore may need to be boosted .05v just at that point alone...
