Prime 95 actually freezes the system

Hey,
I recently added a 512meg stick of Crucial PC3200 to my system and I ran prime95 and after two minutes it actually locked up my whole system. Thinking I had a bad stick of ram, I ran memtest and got absolutely no errors after 16 hours of testing. Ran prime again and it still freezes my system every time. Seti@home runs fine overnight and so does 3dmark. My cpu temp never goes above 47C load and case temp doesn't usually go above 42C load. I tried the mem in both slots 2 and 3 and 1 and 3.... same symptoms. I tried each stick individually, I get absolutely no problems with prime. What gives? My righ's posted below. I don't think it's bad ram and my system runs stable otherwise but I really want this to run prime. Thankx for the help.

Maybe because you are using different brand or maybe the 2nd and 3rd RAM slots are bad? What about changing the voltage on your cpu? I had problem with my computer freezing before, so I increased the core voltage of my cpu and didn't have a problem since.
Just a suggestion.

Prime freezes my system when i DO overvolt my CPU. My 12v rail is so low that it's out of spec, so I'm thinking my PSU is to blame for the lock-ups.
Do all your voltage rails look strong?

It's important to check the voltage rails with a DMM and not rely on the readings in the BIOS or Motherboard monitor. My 5V rail was reading 4.31 in motherboard monitor, 12V was reading 11.49... but when I hooked my DMM up to a molex connector, the 5V rail was actually 4.55, and the 12V rail was 12.06. The 5V rail is still out of spec, so it will be RMA'd, but my point is, don't rely on those things to give you accurate readings. Test it yourself.
