Primary Slave + W2K = Blue screen of death?

I'm trying to add a primary slave hard drive to my W2k system. When it's connected I get a blue screen of death when windows 2000 boots up. When it's disconnected or disabled in BIOS W2K boots up fine. The jumpers are also set correctly. Any ideas why this could be happening? Thanks!

On first hard drive, what partition is Win2K on? Does first hard drive have more than one partition? Is the pagefile on a different partition?

Its possible that when you add the 2nd hard drive its taking drive letter D: , and thats throwing things off for Win2K.

Depends on if first hard drive is partitioned.. and how. If it is.. make the 2nd hard drive with only an extended partition and logical partitions in it.. no primary.
