Father Victor Jimeno, of Valencia, slapped a man who spat out a communion wafer.
The worshipper then hit the priest back, and other members of the congregation were forced to seperate the brawling pair.

‘I know we are supposed to turn the other cheek but Father Victor felt what this man needed most was vengeance, not forgiveness,’ said one witness.
