Pricematching and coupons at Staples

I went to staples on sunday did a pricematch and then tried to use a coupon but the manager said I could only do one or the other... HE called several other stores (2-3 I dont rem now) and they said same thing. I realize you arent supposed to stack coupons as stated on wweb site but I dont see anything policy wise about using a pricematch and then a coupon also. Anyone ? I'd really like to be able to get my $30.oo off.

That's just plain BS. The policy is price matching. The coupons are incentives. I would suggest using the coupon...then go back and price match. IF he won't let you, threaten to return the item/items. I have had no problem at my local staples using both (unless time is important).

Same thing happen to me. They say coupons is only good on the staples.com. Be I just got an email from staples with 20off100 that is good for store use. I'll see what they say this time.

Why do Staples managers always act like they all have shop brooms up their wazoo? And CSR at 800-3staples all are so nice. Even the managers at 800-3staples are nice. Must be some kind of unknown gas radiating from a store full of POS Compaq and HP computers that causes Staples B&M stores to be such A-Holes.

I'm sorry if u think this is off topic but the use of pricematching and /or coupons DOES effect how "hot " a deal may be. Just trying to se if anyone has any paperwork to back up using pricematch and then a coupon on top of it. humble apologies for off-topicness
