8GB sticks will likely drop slowly over time.
4GB sticks have pretty much bottomed out and average prices have already come up some, though you can still find some good deals here and there.

8GB sticks are still on the new side so price dropping on them will continure. The rest are pretty much as low as they will go.

Though some articals about a ram chip maker going under and the glut on the market is ment to result in prices increasing before chrismas. what happens before then is anyones guess.

I wouldn't count on DDR3 prices continuing to drop due to Elpida's recent bankruptcy. Historically, prices have risen when a DRAM maker has filed bankruptcy (see Qimonda).

To jump on the bandwagon... I'll be buying ram next week, even tho i don't intend to use it for a while.

I have bad feelings about all these new releases & supply. I'll have peace of mind, plus i like shiney new stuff sitting on my desk. They can't rise or drop much, but i know I like prices now.

Prices are likely to rise in the next few months, especially on the 2gb and 4gb sticks. The 8gb sticks will be pulled in both directions, with the Elpida BK pulling prices upwards but with the maturation of the process pulling them downwards, so I could see them remaining fairly constant.
