I don't understand why people are not complaining about the price and happily pays $1/gallon or more in the case of the small bottles.
Compared to the other popular comodity in the news right now bottled water is WAY overpriced and yet no complaints.

You don't have to buy bottled water to get to work everyday and there is always the option of the tap.

Water is not a commodity. Oil is. The price of oil is largely determined by one entity: OPEC.

This is why I don't buy bottled water unless tap is unavailable.

Bottled water is a scam.

you really can not compare the two. I do not have to buy bottled water (though in some areas it is a good idea), I do not have to use a gallon or two to get to work and back, Water is free in other places where gas is not.

because no one is feeding you the line that "supply is short" when everyone knows damn well they can meet the demand without any problem. If there was a bottled water cartel inflating the price, you'd hear b!tching.

Bottled water is a luxury item......its not required for everybody to go about their regular tasks. What kinda dumb ass buys bottled water then complains about the price anyways......if you want cheaper bottled water, I can sell you some good stuff.....

At least you aren't telling us it would be most cost-effective to purchase a more water-efficient body.
