Price drop! AMD Athlon XP 2400+ and ECS K7S5A Pro mobo - $89.99 @ Fry's

This Friday's ad shows Fry's selling the AMD Athlon XP 2400 and the ECS K7S5A Pro mobo combo for $89.99 at Fry's. We've all seen it selling for $99.99 for some time, but this is the first time I've seen the price drop.

Edit: It looks like it's a nationwide deal: OC Register Ad (Thanks stokey)

Austin has the retail 2600+ and the K7VTA3 for $109. Any decent deals on rear projection HDTVs up there?

Deals at Fry's? How about the WD 120GB SE for $59.99 after $50 rebate? Seems pretty good to me, with no pricematching needed.

Yup, the HD is a nice deal too. Can get for about $10 cheaper at OM (see other threads), but much less hassle.

I'd actually prefer the 2400/90 deal to the 2600/110 deal as the K7S5A Pro is an SiS chipset, the K7VTA3 is VIA crap.

I wonder if the XP2600+ is a Barton, that's the only way I can see that it's worth $20 more than an XP2400+ Tbred B.

Unfortunately it looks like the Bay Area is out of K7S5A Pro's these days 🙁 although they do only support up to XP2400+

the add in the OC register has this price. Looks like a go down here. I jumped on the 1800 combo a while back so i'm set already. they got some other cool stuff too. check out the frys add. They have links to all the pages on the left side. this is a weekly service so you guys might wanna bookmark the page.

saw it in the ad posted at the City of Industry one.
I would personally assume they are OOS by this time of the day. Sooooo many people there.

i was at the fountain valley fry's today. was a madhouse. i didn't see any of the mb's for the 2400+ deal on the shelves at all. when i asked, they just played dumb like they had no idea what i was talking about and i didn't have the ad with me. a lot of people were getting the 2600+ deal, though. i got in on that and yes, it is a barton. it says so on the printout you take to the register "2600+ barton axda2600dkv4d".
