By "huge" they mean that the harddrive takes up the entire left half of the case, top to bottom.

I dunno, I got a 500K62, 128MB RAM, CD, 6GB HD, free. Power supply is kinda dodgy on it though, but I got spares. Computers like the one in the OP are about a year, year and a half away from being throwaway items.

ahh sadly people buy these things

i wish i could find those people myself... I have all kinds of "previosly loved" stuff I could sell to them for 3x the current value :D

Hahaha, typing from the exact same optiplex as we speak! This one has a 10 gig or something hdd and 256 ram, 8** mhz PIII. Still slow as hell though...

I have an Optiplex PIII 733, and I am very pleased with it. I bought it years and years ago, but it is a tank.....not had one problem with anything. But I paid $400 for it about 6 years ago probably. I used it for my work PC since my company is cheap...they didnt want to buy us computer, so I brought my own in. During those 6 years, it was used almost everyday/8 hours a day.....and still works today. I love it!!
