Based on the preview

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BUCTjZlp_I

I'm going to watch the interview based on the preview it looks interesting.

However it does pertain to the possible Israeli strike on Iran.

He has been quoted as saying that an attack on Iran is a pretty stupid idea.

In the interview he doesn't attempt to distance himself from the quote.

Certain things are not allowed to be said, confirmed or discussed when one leaves government service. The higher up one is, the more restrictive it becomes. Deflection, no comment and other phrases are used to get there points across to certain audiences based on speaker's desires or requirements.

Exactly and the word mis-information comes to mind.....certain things cannot be said but it does not mean that there is not a list of things that can be said...lolol

He'll make generalities and 60 minutes will edit it to suit whatever point they wish to prove.

Of great importance...does he admit on camera that Mossad was behind the 9-11 attacks?

Sure, but he'd be well within his rights to say attacking Iran is a reasonable idea, just as many others both in and out of government service have. Dagan said the opposite though, which is surely because he honestly believes that Iran is "a very rational regime" and that bombing Iran now is “the stupidest idea” he'd ever heard. Of course you're free to disagree with him, but your implication that he would contradict his statements if only he were allowed to is absurd.

Given the edited highlights, in precise and unambiguous terms what did he mean by "rational" and what was the exact dialogue (unedited of course)? If rational is rational why was it qualified?

Who knows whats is the truth and what is authorized mis-information??Dagan said the opposite though, which is surely because he honestly believes that Iran is "a very rational regime" and that bombing Iran now is “the stupidest idea” he'd ever heard. If he was American he might be within his right...but he is not American and not one of us knows what he signed as far as what he is allowed to say...so nice try but you lose again!!

I think Degan made it quite clear, a military strike is still stupid when Iran can't produce a bomb for another year plus. Leaving Israeli options open for further stalling.

Other than that and frankly my Dears, I would not give much of a damn about what an serial liar like Bozo Netanyuhu says, but when Netnayuhu threats kite the pump prices I pay by at least 50 cents in the past month or so, I start to really care.

That's nice. Did I ask about his opinion on a strike? For that matter do you know what I think about one? Yes before you answer I know you don't care what I think.

I asked a specific question in a specific way to get a specific response. Do you walk to school or carry your lunch?

Sorry, but when more than one former mossad chief says attacking Iran given all the information available at this time isn't necessary and a politician is advocating attack (Netanyahu) I'm not going to just put my faith in the politician.
