Hi,

Do you know a reliable way to have Windows Update in Win 10 stop wanting to install graphics cards driver updates ?

In "System properties", "Hardware" tab, and then the "Device Installation Settings" button, there is an option that might be intended to do that according to some people (this is what I had found on the web), but I already had "Never install driver software from Windows Update" selected, and... it does not seem to work :(

This is a very serious problem imo.

Edit : I forgot to add that I tried the tool mentioned on this page too : http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/ . But for some reason the update still shows up in the list of updates of Windows Update.

Well I have been using the wushowhide.diagcab tool as you said, but it has worked for all my systems.

I just disabled the graphics driver updates and installed my drivers.

The thing is that I am always using the latest drivers, WHQL or betas regardless and I didn't see anything weird.

I haven't tried a really old driver however, to see if the system will override it.

I disabled it in win10 options then in catalyst. Did you know catalyst auto updates by default?

Thanks for your answers :)
It finally worked. After some time the list refreshed itself and the Catalyst update was gone.

No, I did not know that Catalyst auto-updates by default. I have never seen it updating automatically. Is this a recently added feature ? I am using version 15.7.1 currently.

It's been in there for a while now, I can't remember back that far. At least a year since the last Omega.
