Prevent jumping to last read post?

I marked all forums read and now when I click on any thread it goes to the last post of the thread. I hate this. Make it stop please.

What are you clicking to access the thread? I tried to replicate this, and clicking on the thread title brings me to the first post in the thread.

I've had this numerous times too, where it'll bring me to the first "New" post in a topic. If I mark all forums read, though, I get brought to the first post if I click on the thread title.

I would like to set it so any click takes me to the very first post every time...never to the first "New" post or the last post in the topic.

Ah, I see what you guys mean now. Unfortunately, that is not a setting we can change. Like many other things, I suspect there is a XenForo add-on that may offer that option; we'll look into that possibility once we've ironed out all the bugs and issues.

Funny, this is one of the changes I like a lot. VB always seemed to forget when I last read a thread, and seemed to randomly mark everything read. XF hasn't forgotten my place once, so far.

I only see that behavior in threads that are not marked read. With threads that are marked read, clicking the title takes me to the first post.

Try clicking the date/time the message was posted. That sends you straight to the first post.

I may be able to fix this in CSS with a user style, but no promises!

If you click UNDERNEATH on the date the thread was started,IT WILL GOTO THE FIRST POST on the thread.. (Its under the title of the thread)

Came in looking for this answer, thanks!

It seems redundant to have the title of the post AND the little blue circle on the left of the title both go to the first unread. Leave the blue dot as first unread and the title as the first post, I think this would be ideal and intuitive.

Thanks!
