Simplemobile has a deal on their entry level plan. unlimited minutes + 3 gigs for $25 or $20 if you enroll in autopay. It use to only have 1 gig. Their next plan is $30 and only has 2 gigs. They use Tmobile, so depending on your area it could be very fast or really damn slow. I've lived in different areas and Tmobile was night and day for me. I picked up their iPhone SE for $150 at Best Buy. Or you can BYOD.

Haven't had much time to use it, and didn't run a speedtest yet. But the internet feels pretty quick. Definitely happy with it for the price.

That's good for single line if you're on a budget. A few of the MVNOs have better deals if you need multiple lines (Boost has a 3 lines of unlimited for $100; Cricket has 4 lines unlimited for $100; the Cricket unlimited is slower than their normal plans though not sure about Boost).

If you know someone 55 or older, T-Mobile has 2 lines of unlimited for $60 a month. Looks like that's $70 now. Or if you're military (don't have to be active) T-Mobile has good plans ($55 single, $80 for 2 lines, and then only $10 extra per line up to 6 after that, so 4 lines for $100, 6 for $120).

lulz why not use redpocket? just got 220 for a year of ATT with 5gb 4glte / unlimited 3g after that.. unilmited talk and txt.. if verizon is better they offer 1gb 1000 min and 1000 txt for like 9$ a month. Why would you use Tmobile? you live in NY city and dont go out of town.. i guess that would be a good reason.

I signed up for this (retired Navy although it does work for regular vets). Will bring my bill down to $90 for four lines (one of my lines I got from their free add-A-line promo a couple years ago).

Some people need more lines (or devices), and/or use more data than that. I have nothing against MVNOs (have used them a fair amount).

I think you're a few years late on T-Mobile's coverage. Not saying they're stupendous (certainly still not equal to Verizon in coverage), but they've improved a lot (I'd probably say close to AT&T in most areas now, although both still have patches) in just the past few years.

They also just recently switched on some new LTE that should help their coverage in rural areas quite a bit - caveat being only certain phones for right now: https://arstechnica.com/information...st-your-coverage-if-you-have-the-right-phone/

Their new spectrum is basically the only reason I'll be upgrading from the Note 8 to the Note 9.
